When Destiny 2 was first revealed, it was hard getting a straight answer from Bungie as to whether or not it would receive enhancements on Xbox One X. Speculation pointed to Sony's marketing deal with Bungie which promoted Destiny 2 on PlayStation 4 for the developer being unable to answer questions about specific enhancements for Microsoft's system.

The new console allows gamers to experience games and movies in 4K.

These enhancements are set to go live in an update on December 5, alongside the launch of Curse of Osiris and Season Two. It is now the most powerful console out in the market as its specs are higher than the PS4 Pro. Additionally, there will be "adaptive 4K resolution" on PS4 Pro and regular 4K on Xbox One X.

"If you're migrating to these new consoles, or already have, we'll make it worth your investment". The same unpatched version of the game, running fresh from the disc, hits 60 frames per second more often than not on the Xbox One X.

Mafia 3 will soon have an Xbox One X enhanced patch pushed out, with developer Hangar 13 recently talking about what resolution the game renders at on the Xbox One X, and whether there will be HDR patches for other platforms.

Unfortunately, I own the digital version of the game, which automatically downloads patches when installed, so my copy of The Witcher 3 maintains its locked 30 frames per second on the Xbox One X. Some games play and perform better without patches but dedicated patches typically take things further. "We have sold through most of our initial allotment in just one day", GameStop SVP of merchandising Bob Puzon said.
