Former West Ham manager reveals why David Moyes will be a success

David Moyes was officially announced as Slaven Bilic's successor earlier today, penning a six-month contract until the end of the season.

However, the former Sunderland boss isn't popular with the fans, with his disappointing spells at Manchester United, Real Sociedad and the Black Cats a cause for concern.

'I do think he will be a success because they have got a good squad, ' he told TalkSport.

"He needs to pull that squad together and make it function in a way Slaven unfortunately couldn't do".

And Le Tissier believes Moyes will need to get the best out of Arnautovic if he is to turn West Ham's fortunes around. I hope I have the opportunity to play.

But Allardyce has warned the Scot that only results on the pitch will keep the club's support base on side.

"I think for me the main problem at the moment at West Ham is they spent a lot of money for a marquee signing in the summer, in Marko Arnautovic". If you don't do well and don't win football matches, they voice their opinion and rightly so, but when it goes well they are the opposite.

"He's got goals in that team, normally when you're at the bottom of the league, you've not got a goalscorer".

West Ham's new manager will be looking to form an understanding and get his message across to the players on the training ground ahead of their clash against Watford on November 19.
