Antonio Conte has responded to suggestions that he might leave Chelsea, and that AC Milan are keen on landing him after their win over Manchester United.

Current Milan boss Vincenzo Montella is now facing a fightfor his future after a poor start to the season, but Conte has insisted his main focus is on Chelsea.

"We're trying to stay concentrated, because it's a tough run from here to the end of the season".

Despite the scrutiny alleviating a bit, the rumours of an exit remain, and Corriere dello Sport advance a rather interesting scenario that Gennaro Gattuso, now in charge of AC Milan's youth side, could take over until the end of the season.

According to Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard, Conte said: "Milan?"

Montella was reportedly spared his job following Sunday's 2-0 win at Sassuolo but the axe is set to fall on the 43-year-old if Milan - without a Scudetto since 2010-11 - concedes further ground on the leading pack, having already tasted defeat to Juventus, Inter, Roma, Sampdoria and Lazio.

"I'm so focused on Chelsea - I've got to do the best I can for Chelsea".

"I would've been more anxious if we had struggled for points against the smaller teams and did well with the big clubs", said Montella.

Chelsea bagged important 3 points on Sunday after Conte's lucrative summer signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid scored the all-important winning goal. "I would like the cycle of Juventus to finish, because it's now seven years nearly that they've won Serie A. We want other faces", he added.
