Gainesville native, Texans QB Deshaun Watson feared to have suffered torn ACL

The Houston Texans have reportedly signed Matt McGloin and T.J. Yates after it was announced quarterback Deshaun Watson tore his ACL at practice Thursday.

This sentiment was shared by players across the league, a number of whom took to Twitter to wish Watson well after he went down. You know what I mean?

Deshaun Watson thanked his team-mates, other National Football League players and fans on Friday for the outpouring of support he has received in the wake of his season-ending ACL injury.

Watson was the front runner to win the NFL Rookie of the Year award this season throwing for nearly 1.700 yards and 19 touchdowns since taking over as starter.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney spoke with Watson after the injury on Thursday and released a statement through the school saying "I talked to Deshaun late this afternoon and we are disappointed".

"Look back in life to when you faced adversity and thought you would not overcome it, and then you did", Beckham wrote. However, as a child of God, I understand that everything happens for a reason.

"Everything is a blessing in disguise. I'll see you this off-season lil b". The former North Dakota State star completed 89 of 148 passes for 1,247 yards with 14 touchdowns and three interceptions for the Eagles (7-1).

Watson will reportedly undergo surgery, which should lead to an eight to nine-month rehab process.

Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde intercepted four passes in October en route to being named AFC Defensive Player of the Month.
