Huawei Mate 10 Lite is coming to Europe for €349

It will run on Android Nougat out of the box with it's own Emotion UI on top and will be getting the Android Oreo update soon.

Huawei Blog (an unofficial blog) reports that invites are now going out to Mate 9 owners for an upcoming 'Friendly User Trial.' Huawei sent out a similar invite past year for the P9's Nougat beta test. The company is now offering the beta program to as many users as they can so they can test out this new OS and can send out their feedbacks. Do note that this is not the final update and will not have support for full features. Being a beta program, the software is not yet fully optimized for the device and users may experience some bugs till a stable version is released. The FHD display will mean that the Mate 10 Pro will have a downgraded display technology as opposed to its predecessor - the Mate 9 Pro that has a QHD display. Selected users will receive the Oreo beta over-the-air (OTA). However, Huawei is limiting the number of beta testers; only 250 people will be chosen. If you're not interested in the company's flagships, then you might be want to know the Mate 10 Lite will be available for purchase in Europe in early November. You will also have to download a dedicated app from Huawei's website which can be found at the source link below.

The beta update is now only available for units with firmware version MHA-L29C432B194.

Once you have signed up with this program, the company will send out a notification on your device. Mate 10 will also get Android Oreo update after the completion of finishing touches in Oreo's build.

However, the company has also said that every Mate 9 would not receive the beta update. Given these specifications, the Huawei Mate 10 will face tough competition from Apple, Samsung, and Google.
