'Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition' Coming Early Next Year

Capcom revealed the new version of Street Fighter 5 today, promising fixes for numerous game's most-bemoaned oversights (namely, the eponymous addition of an actual Arcade Mode).

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is slated for a launch on January 16 for PlayStation 4 and PC. This new edition of the game will include the hugely requested arcade mode, the Extra Battle mode and a second V-Trigger for all characters.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition features everything from the original game, including all 12 fighters and premium costumes from the two season character passes. In North America and Europe, the new version will be available physically and digitally on PlayStation 4 and as a digital download on Windows PC for $39.99 MSRP. It includes all of the characters from the base game and both DLC seasons. Can we expect to hear about the Street Fighter 5 news at this weekend's New York Comic-Con? In this particular case, retail giant Amazon is to blame for revealing the existence of "Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition" last month.

As previously stated, Arcade Mode will be present, but this isn't your cookie cutter version.

This is all to say that while Street Fighter V certainly wasn't a bad outing for the series, there were certainly elements of the game's development and launch that could have gone better.

If that wasn't enough fighter news for you, Capcom recently lost one of its senior employees. All 28 characters will be available to play with, along with a second V-Trigger that changes up the way battles are fought.

You can check out more of the game in the trailer posted down below. Further information on these modes can be found on the game's website. Even worse, they also leaked all the game's features possibly prompting Capcom to push forward with the announcement.
