Pryor Says Racial Slurs Lead To Middle Finger Directed At Chiefs Fans

Saying he chose not to kneel because the team decided as a group to stand during the pre-game playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner", Pryor apologised to team-mates and the Redskins organisation for responding to the heckler on his terms.

According to ESPN, the NFL is reviewing all aspects of the incident, a league spokesman said Thursday, including what took place in the stands.

"The fan says, 'go buy yourself another chain you little (explicit)' is what started the whole confrontation". And after writing about the n-word being shouted at Pryor, the Post writer, who is Eritrean, tweeted that he'd received an email that said, "You modern blacks are Satanic dogs unfit to live in America". As I walked in tunnel hearing some one call me a n***** and say F you to me ... flicking the person off is more deserving.

That's weird, most people seem to be under the impression that the anthem protests, at least initially, were about police brutality.

But Pryor said his initial anger stemmed from a fan calling him the N-word during the Redskins' 29-20 loss.

Players getting into it with fans after games is certainly nothing new.

On Thursday, spokesmen for the Kansas City Chiefs and National Football League revealed the direction of the investigation, stating that they could not substantiate Pryor's claims but would keep trying.

He apologised to the Washington organisation and to his team-mates for making the gesture.

Therefore, what could happen here is that players will start freely cursing and gesturing at fans.

Two witnesses behind the sideline told The Washington Post that there was a fan in a Chiefs jersey who shouted racial slurs toward Washington players, but didn't call out Pryor specifically.
