Given how past Call of Duty games handled these pre-release maps, expect it to be free at some point for everyone.

At the time of writing, it is unclear if any slight changes have been made to the map, or if it will be available to fans in the future that do not possess the Season Pass or Digital Deluxe Edition.

Is Carentan a highlight in terms of the series' maps? Now, Activision has revealed that the map will make a comeback as a bonus for season pass owners.

The battle was of the bigger Normandy Landings which paved the way for the Allied victory in Europe. The only way to get this map is to purchase the $49.99 Season Pass.

Carentan first appeared in 2003's Call of Duty (CoD), developed by Infinity Ward, the same developer that went on to also create the phenomenal success of CoD 4: Modern Warfare.

The Season Pass will launch with the game, and, like all previous Call of Duty games, come with four DLC map packs. These include new missions, additional chapters in the Zombies mode, and more multiplayer maps.

Call of Duty: WWII releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 3rd 2017.

After the security debacle of the upcoming game's open beta, where cheaters and hackers allegedly ruined the community experience, developer Sledgehammer released a statement, apologizing and discussing how to eliminate the cheaters and hackers in the full release of the game.
