Dan Bilzerian Films Himself Running Away From Shooting In Las Vegas

A character usually associated with flagrant displays of wealth and relentless boasts about his harem of Instagram model groupies, Dan Bilzerian was last night caught up in the chaos of the Mandalay Bay shooting in Las Vegas, resulting in the poker player and social media tycoon filming himself fleeing from the scene after seeing a girl "get shot in the head".

Our own Sarah Herring, who was at Mandalay Bay just hours before the incident, had this to say, "It is such a shame that the actions of one sick person or one group of sick people can have such a devastating and frightening effect on the lives of so many others". @danbilzerian this is what kills me about people like you.

In a later post, he continued: "So I had to go grab a gun. Always playing "operator dress up" and so so tough when the cameras are on", Meyer wrote on Instagram.

Dan could be heard saying, "Holy ***k". I'm fucking headed back....

What can you say about Meyer's reaction to Bilzerian's choice of running away from the mass shooting? "It's f--ing so insane - some kind of mass shooting", he said in the video, which was shared about an hour later.

The video went viral in no time. "I saw a girl fucking get shot in the head right next to me, her brains fucking hanging out".

But to me this seems less like a moment to scold people who run away from legitimately terrifying, traumatizing situations, and more like a great opportunity to ridicule a man who's just generally the worst. The professional poker player, 36, shared a series of videos on his Instagram account after a gunman opened fire on a crowd at the Route 91 country music festival on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Those looking to help can also donate to the Red Cross and to GoFundMe pages for the victims.
