Those who are looking to grind for the upcoming Leviathan raid might be disappointed.

Aside from completing the On the Comms questline, make sure your Power Level is at least 270 before taking on the Leviathan Raid.

It's quite possible that Bungie decided to make the first raid a bit more accessible to those who didn't have the time to grind over 280, resulting in it being set one step lower. It will take place at the same time of the weekly reset, which will reset the Nightfall, Flashpoint, Clan XP, Crucible Call to Arms, Weekly Challenges, and Eververse Bright Dust inventory.

Destiny Raids typically involve a 6-player fireteam jumping into a special level filled with various enemies, environmental puzzles, hidden secrets and massive rewards. Still, the company has been promising some cool new content to hit Destiny 2, so we could find out as soon as just a couple of days to see what Leviathan has to offer.

Little else is known about the Leviathan Raid, with Bungie telling fans not to expect any kind of preview.

According to a post on Bungie's site, it's not only the game that won't be working.

"These are your moments to discover - your mysteries to solve".

The Destiny 2 gauntlets are the Hunter Road Complex AA1s. "Together, as a team, you might even discover the how". Bungie has also said that third-party companion apps might be affected as part of the maintenance. The reference to the hate group might be vague for many so we'll do some explaining.
