Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill finally makes a decision on treatment

The Miami Dolphins officially placed quarterback Ryan Tannehill on injured reserve Saturday morning.

Immediately following Tannehill's knee injury last week, the Dolphins reached out to veteran quarterback Jay Cutler who had made a decision to take his talents up to the Fox Sports broadcast booth.

As for McMillan, the second-round pick from Ohio State, he was injured on a punt coverage unit. Unfortunately, he never got the chance.

The Dolphins also announced they signed linebacker Junior Sylvestre.

Still, losing McMillan is a big blow.

Last season Miami was 29th in the National Football League in yards allowed and 30th in rushing defense.

"Yes, I've called signals at Mike (linebacker) the last couple of years, so that's not something that's new to me", Hull said.

The Dolphins will take on the Baltimore Ravens on August 17. Both Hull and Hewitt have had their share of opportunities in the past to step up, but neither has taken advantage, and likely won't now. "You do those practices against other teams it's a game feel for you every day". Last season, the quarterback suffered a partial ACL tear on that same knee but he opted for stem cell treatment instead of undergoing surgery. He finished with 3,659 yards and 21 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. And Gase has spent a lot of time in Cutler's ear between possessions. Aikens should be back out there for next week's game. "That's just kind of our routine and it's just the communication, kind of the tempo of the play, how it's coming in". "I haven't had any changes since the spring".

Aikens had his back tighten up on him during warm-ups before the game and was ruled out due to that. "There was no hesitation". Now we don't have to address that anymore, right? "He's been playing extremely sore".
