The Illinois Lottery said Saturday that someone bought the ticket at Nick's Barbecue in Palos Heights.

According to lottery officials, the jackpot is the largest jackpot in nearly a year and the fifth-largest prize in the game's 15-year history.

Jackpot winners choose whether to receive 30 annual payments, each 5 percent higher than the last, or a lump-sum payment.

Three tickets, sold in Ohio, Washington and California, matched the five white ball numbers to win the game's second prize.

The latest Mega Millions jackpot is the fourth one to be won in 2017. That big stake has been working since June 10. Officials said 55 tickets have won prizes over $1 million over the course of the run. Winners who want the Cash Option payment must claim their prizes within the first 60 days after the drawing.

The chances of winning either amusement are outrageous - one of every 292 million for Powerball, and one of every 259 million for Mega Millions.

If you happened to have the winning numbers, return to the store you purchased the ticket from and let the spending begin. Never even knew they had lottery.

Each diversion is offered in each state aside from Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada and Utah.
