Well here is Toilet: Ek Prem Katha box office collection on its first day of release. The film opened to a decent occupancy of around 25-30% and has collected fair first day figures.

'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, ' which also stars Bhumi Padnekar, is a satiric take on the lack of toilets in rural areas. But bad reviews not withstanding Toilet: Ek Prem Katha's opening has been considerably lower than that of Jab Harry Met Sejal, which opened at Rs 15.5 crore, highest in a love story genre, obviously driven by King Khan's star power. It has been made with limited budget of Rs. 18 crore and is released in 3000 screens in India. The film released on Friday and received rave reviews from a number of Bollywood celebrities.

The film is starred with Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Anupam Kher and Divyen Sharma in the lead roles. The opening figures are less than Badrinath Ki Dukhaniya, Tubelight, and Jab Harry Met Sejal. The film is not an usual concept for Bollywood, which makes the odds of the film doing well in the box office could be a concern. Akshay Kumar's film opened up great at the box office, the film started very well. "Toilet Ek Prem Katha" picked up pace with time and is expected to earn huge amount during the weekend which also happens to be extended with Independence Day on Tuesday.
