Jay Cutler sihns deal with Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins' first preseason game is Thursday night, vs. the defending NFC champion Falcons, and their regular-season opener comes on September 10 (vs. Tampa Bay).

A season working with Dolphins' head coach Adam Gase, when he was offensive coordinator for the Bears, made Cutler a perceived seamless fit in Miami.

"A situation like this doesn't come along very often", Cutler told reporters Monday at his introductory event. This morning I think I woke up in the hotel and I didn't know where I was at. You kind of want to catch up pretty quickly but you know these guys are a few weeks ahead of you.

Cavallari surely sees a side of Cutler no one else does, so her push for him to play again comes with merit. But as fate would have it, one of his former teammates has an unoccupied home. After all, it was the quarterback who divided a fan base during eight years that failed to live up to the high expectations that greeted him when he arrived from Denver in 2009.

The Bears and Dolphins aren't scheduled to play this season. "I think she got exhausted of me being around the house". "I texted him well wishes and I'm excited for him". It's another opportunity - and that's all guys can ask for. I was very upfront with him, kept him in the loop on everything. Yes, Cutler did have his best National Football League season in Gase's system while the duo were together in Chicago, but more important is the fact that he was simply in the system.

Cutler ended 2016 on injured reserve and underwent shoulder surgery. Moore has familiarity with the system and with the coaches and players. Obviously, he's a great friend of mine. "But if you win games, nobody says anything". Since 2002 they've only had two playoff games, and they haven't won a postseason game since the 2000 seasons. The first was classic Cutler, who may or may not have already been complaining about the weather...

But Cutler said wife Kristin Cavallari pushed him to link up with the Dolphins, telling a media conference: "The last four months I've been in a different mindset, getting ready for the Fox deal". Cutler was also chatting it up with Dolphins legendary quarterback Dan Marino, who is a special adviser with the team during practice breaks.
