Stephanie Davis has spoken out following her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell's guilty verdict yesterday.

"I went to get the baby and a coat or a cardigan to put him in a vehicle seat".

The courtroom heard how Jeremy, 27, "threw Stephanie around like a rag doll" because he thought she was having an affair with her pregnant best friend and a fireman.

"He was booting my glass doors with his foot, and I thought the glass was going to shatter".

The pair began a relationship after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother past year but Ms Davis told Liverpool magistrates' court that it had been the worst 18 months of her life.

According to The Mirror, Stephanie cried while giving her testimony, while Jeremy laughed behind the dock and yelled "lies". He gets jealous. He was calling me a s**g, that I was fat and that no-one would ever want to touch me again.

The tension between the pair of them became so intense that at one point the court was forced to take a break as Steph hurled abuse at McConnell saying he had completely destroyed her life.

At a previous court appearance on May 10, McConnell pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage - but denied assault by beating.

He said that when he had seen her he had tried to apologise to her for his behaviour but she ignored his pleas and continued to kick and scream at him.

Stephanie broke down in tears in court after she heard that the judge had decided the Irish star, with whom she has seven-month-old son Caben-Albi, had beaten her during a blazing row on March 9.

She told the court: "I've been scared of Jeremy and that's the God's honest truth".

McConnell, of Swords, Dublin, will be sentenced on Friday.
