Carpool Karaoke The Series Debute Hits Apple Music

The series, which airs online, serves as a spinoff to Corden's wildly popular "Carpool Karaoke" segment on his CBS late night show - in which the host drives around Los Angeles with popular singers and croons their songs with them in the auto.

I don't know what we all did to deserve this, but it's going to be great. And those tunes got a workout in episode one as Smith and Corden blasted "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" and "Boom!" The episodes are longer and if the first episode is any indication, way more over the top.

But, speaking to the Associated Press, executive producer James confirmed that he will not let it air on TV until he's had the go ahead from those close to Chester.

A preview for the season shows a slew of guests including, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Shaquille O'Neal, John Cena, Maise Williams, Sophia Turner, LeBron James, Ariana Grande, Seth MacFarlane, Queen Latifah, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Will Smith has received the presidential seal of approval to play Barack Obama in a biopic.

"He told me that he felt confident that I had the ears for the role", Smith quipped.

Apple's desire to get into the video entertainment game is pretty well-known and was made more clear a year ago when they bought the rights to the Carpool Karaoke TV series. The offers alone, were enough for Smith to entertain the idea, but it was Obama's blessing that really sealed the deal. The trailer for their episode shows them singing Disney songs and Rihanna's "Shine Bright Like A Diamond", so I'm probably going to lose it watching this.

At least here, when he joins up with James Corden, he chooses to return to the best period his career - the music!

The show is available exclusively to Apple Music subscribers and new episodes of the show will be released every Thursday, although it remains unclear as to which order the episodes will be released.
