Microsoft Still Loves MS Paint

Earlier, media reports said on Monday that Microsoft's Windows 10 Fall Creators Update that is expected soon will not feature the 1985-released MS Paint, a popular app among children that has seen several generations grow with it. Microsoft has explained that MS Paint will also be made available on the Windows Store as an optional download.

Unfortunately, we cannot expect MS Paint to receive any new updates, but Microsoft might surprise us, after all.

At some point, the RS3_RELEASE branch will become the shipping version of Windows, and there will be a short moment in time, a window, where you can un-enroll that PC from the Insider Program all together and just use Windows normally.

Some other programs in the list also faced the same cut-down, along with the Outlook Express email client, which will be switched with the built-in Mail app, as well as the Reader application, which now will be joined with Microsoft Edge.

Saunders acknowledged the pleas of Paint fans who didn't want this longtime app to go away. "If there's anything we learned, it's that after 32 years, MS Paint has a lot of fans". Paint was one of the first graphics editors which became a household feature for Windows users. While Paint has been given an app, it won't be as integral a part of the operating system as it used to be, so certain types of computers may still have issues regarding using the app.

Fortunately, that's no longer the case as this outpouring of support has caused Microsoft to sort of back track from its announcement. So you bang your head on the desk. At least, we have the word of confirmation that MS Paint will live on in the Windows even post the arrival of the big fall update.

Microsoft said in a blog post they are having two sub branches for insiders in adevelopmen branch for eg. rs_prerelease which adds features and rs_release which focuses more on bug fixes and improvements. Are you a techie who knows how to write?
