Former White House Chief of Staff was removed by Trump on Friday with Kelly announced as his replacement .The president seems to pick him with the hopes that his military background will bring sanity to the White House amid mounting investigations, probes and alleged leaks.

The president promises his team is "going to work hard" and fulfill that famous campaign promise to "make America great again". And the ideas that he has brought to the presidency have been something he's talked about for a long time.

As for the escalating tensions with North Korea, Trump says the situation "will be handled".

The U.S. flew two supersonic bombers over the Korean Peninsula on Sunday in a show of force following the country's latest intercontinental ballistic missile test.

Podesta told "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz on Sunday that Trump's new chief of staff, Ret. Gen. John Kelly, is responsible for safeguarding the Justice Department and special counsel Robert Mueller, who heads the Russian Federation probe, from interference by the White House.

For weeks the stories coming out of the White House has centered on a staff in disarray, as the man in charge Reince Priebus had to go.

Sitting beside Kelly in the Oval Office, Trump predicted the former Homeland Security secretary would do a "spectacular job" leading the West Wing and advancing his stalled agenda. Delivered at 11 a.m. Monday-Friday.

The challenge for Kelly, as famous for his discipline as he may be, is that the root of the White House chaos is the nurturing of rivalries and the unpredictability that comes from the president himself.

Trump pushed back against the idea that his White House was in chaos on Monday, tweeting a string of purported successes - including a booming stock market and low unemployment - before adding, "No WH chaos!"

Kelly didn't waste any time getting his feet wet, attending his first Cabinet meeting as chief of staff immediately afterward. Ret. Gen. John Kelly will take over from Reince Priebus.

Trump abruptly fired former FBI Director James Comey, who led his agency's investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 USA presidential campaign and possible collusion with Trump's campaign. He replaced Reince Priebus, who failed to mesh with the president's freewheeling and untraditional management style and grappled with infighting during his six months in the job.
