Unlike other games in the Monster Hunter series, Stories is not a cooperative action game, but a turn-based RPG.

Alongside this announcement, they also posted a new trailer for the game as well.

Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. launches in Japan on August 25, 2017. The game launches in the United States on September 8.

The trailer also confirms that the North American release will be the same as the previously confirmed European release.

Capcom has just announced through the Japanese news site 4Gamer that the Nintendo Switch version of Monster Hunter XX will be available to the public at the Japanese Nintendo eShop on August 10. Since it isn't region locked, you should give the game a go.

The game is a spin-off title set within the Monster Hunter series, and is loosely based on the similarly named anime series. Players will be taking the role of a Monster Rider instead of a Monster Hunter this time around.

This is an entirely different approach to the original games, which saw players hunting down monsters to craft armor and weapons without any real underlying story behind the missions.
