According to manoramaonline.com, the actor was today booed by the crowd on the court premises when he was taken to jail.

Kochi: The police team probing the actress abduction and attack case, have recovered a memory card from a lawyer, say sources.

The Angamaly judicial first class magistrate on Saturday rejected the bail plea of Malayalam actor Dileep, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in the South Indian actress' kidnap and assault case.

Similarly, they also found that Appunni had attempted to work out a settlement between Dileep and Suni over the quotation amount. The special prosecutor recalled the actor's statements and reactions before his arrest which apparently preyed on the victim.

The bail plea was opposed by prosecution who pleaded to the magistrate that awarding a bail would lead to tampering the evidence since the accused is an influential person. It would also adversely affect the ongoing probe into the conspiracy behind the sensational case, the prosecution said.

As part of it, the police subjected a junior lawyer of Mr.Chacko to interrogation late on Sunday.

Dileep will be in custody till July 25.

Dileep was arrested on Monday night, and on Tuesday he was remanded to 14 days judicial custody. Appunni, who is suspected to have acted as a link between Dileep and prime accused Pulsar Suni, is absconding since the actor's arrest.

The popular actress, who has worked in Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and allegedly molested inside her auto for two hours by the accused, who had forced their way into the vehicle on February 17 and later escaped in a busy area here.
