Talking Smack Will No Longer Air Weekly

Despite the belief that WWE Talking Smack was canceled as a weekly show because of low viewership, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is reporting Vince McMahon made the decision himself due to the show's unscripted nature.

Many heads were turned when WWE Talking Smack was canceled this week, but evidently it was the only one that mattered that didn't seem to care.

With Renee Young and Daniel Bryan as the co-hosts of the show, it furthered storylines and provided an outlet for advanced character development.

She later returned to Twitter to share her disappointment about the cancellation, noting that "we tried to make that show great". Young poked a little fun at her role as a backstage announcer with her introducing superstars as guests for interviews, and expressed her sadness for the show's run ending. Despite plans for occasional Talking Smack shows after SmackDown-specific pay-per-views, the long-term plan, per McMahon, is to eradicate the program.

This is despite WWE issuing a statement assuring fans that it would continue to be aired after SmackDown pay-per-views, with only the weekly Tuesday evening edition to be culled.
