Google Play Music Updated With New Release Radio Feature

The station will work just as Release Radar by leaving the facility to a personalized stream of the music of your tastes.

If Google Play Music isn't your default music player, you need to say "Ok Google, play X on Google Play Music " to hear subscription/free radio/uploaded/purchased music. It was an early access feature for the devices.

The station featuring the newest in popular music follows in the footsteps of existing stations from Apple Music and Spotify.

Since the New Release Radio is being launched globally, it'll contain a huge repository of new songs which will be updated constantly - helping you explore music across genres, languages and nations. The company has been held back by the fact that it is essentially running two competing music services, Google Play Music and YouTube Music.

Today Google officially announced that New Release Radio is available to all Google Play Music users.

The personalized mix itself is created to showcase newly released songs from artists you like, or those Google believes might like.

The station is presented as soon as you load up Google Play Music as an option to check out. If you are unable to specify a song, Google Home will search for the song within the linked accounts and then it will start searching from the Play Music by itself.
