Curvy G6: Here is what we know about LG V30 so far

The premiums V-series phone that began rolling with LG V10 and LG V20, have been widely welcomed.

LG V30 is speculated to be unveiled ahead of IFA 2017 in Berlin, though exact date was unknown.

This is the first time that the world's sixth-largest smartphone producer by market share will introduce a smartphone on the sidelines of the annual IFA tech show. There have been many reports talking about LG V30's specifications, but few are referring to the smartphone's availability in Europe. The company is integrating its latest display technology to their smartphones at its best.

The leak also goes a long way to backing up rumors of a 18:9 screen with round corners, like the LG G6, but one that may have an OLED display.

The G6 was a back-to-basics phone that nailed fundamentals LG had been ignoring for too long - the V30 would be a refinement of that formula. The list includes a fingerprint sensor mounted to the back and a manual camera for added prowess for the mobile enthusiasts. The smartphone will also feature a USB Type-C port.

With around 6 weeks left to wait, I'm sure we will see many more details leak of the LG V30.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to have a metal-glass construction with onboard wireless charging support.

LGLG is expected to release the new V30 this August. Early rumours suggested that the device will use Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. However, it would now have to compete directly with Samsung's Galaxy Note 8, which is now believed to have a launch date of August 23.
