The police said there was a clash between BMRCL staff and constables attached with Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) at the station near the Civil court on Thursday morning and a case and counter case were registered on Thursday evening.

After hours of successfully stalling Namma Metro services for Bengalureans, workers of Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited called off their strike. The first video shows Rakesh I B, an electronics maintenance staffer with the BMRCL, entering the City Civil Court side entrance of the station without running his bag through the scanner.

Rakesh is seen arguing with the woman and another KSISF officer.

Sources said that the police officials assured the protestors that the department will not file any case against their arrested fellow colleagues.

The standoff began after a constable indulged into a minor scuffle with the workers. BMRCL workers staged a protest against police for arresting another worker accused of assaulting a security guard on Thursday. The staff has refused to work till the arrested workers are released. They had to scramble for alternative transport, as they had no inkling about the flash protest by metro staff.

Scores of commuters stranded at Bengaluru Metro due to a strike called by Metro staff demanding to release their colleague who is under police custody.
