Trump 'Absolutely' Still Wants Mexico To Pay For A Wall

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has repeatedly said that his country will not pay for the wall.

U.S. President Donald Trump, seated next to his Mexican counterpart Enrique Peña Nieto at the G20 summit in Germany, said he "absolutely" still wants Mexico to pay for a border wall.

After Trump delivered some brief remarks, reporters shouted questions to him about whether Mexico is still going to pay for the wall.

Peña Nieto had canceled a meeting between the two set for January because of the border-wall issue.

This border wall construction is expected to start in spring 2018 and the White House remains unclear about how Mexico will actually pay for it.

"I can not stress enough how valuable the US-Mexico relationship is to each of our nations", he said. Both leaders had previously agreed to not publicly discuss the border wall.

In addition Trump has angered Mexico with attacks on Mexican immigrants as "criminals, drug dealers and rapists" and his insistence on holding tough new trade negotiations with its southern neighbour.

Mexico will erect a three inch phallic monument in honor of Trump before they pay for the damn wall.

We'll see how things go when Nieto returns home and sees the headlines regarding Trump's wall comment.

In his first meeting with President Enrique Peña Nieto since taking office, the USA leader hammered home his plans to build his controversial border barricade. He added that both nations have a responsibility when it comes to "organized crime issues".

That visit turned into a public relations nightmare for Mr Pena Nieto, who was lambasted for welcoming the brash Republican billionaire despite his insults and threats.

President Trump has also received skepticism from his own supporters regarding his lack of progress on the wall, as bids to build the wall are still now under review.
