Lonzo sucks a fat one in debut

Ball and Tatum, who were the No. 2 and No. 3 picks in the 2017 National Basketball Association draft, respectively, both had monstrous nights, with the Celtics pulling out a narrow 86-81 victory.

Down the stretch, Tatum proved closer, scoring six points in the final 2:34 as Boston turned a game that was even at that point into a victory.

In front of a rare Las Vegas Summer League sell out crowd the Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 86-81.

During Summer League, winning and losing is not almost as important as building chemistry and building confidence.

Lonzo Ball's Summer League debut was a game to forget.

"When he gets it going, he can really light it up", Buechler said. "That [should] be the worst game I have all week".

Just like in his summer-league debut on Friday against the Clippers, however, Ball offered promising signs in nearly everything else in his game with a triple double.

Crawford averaged 12.6 points per game on 41.3 percent shooting last season, while Rondo averaged 7.8 points, 6.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game. Ball was 5-of-13 shooting.

Kyle Kuzma shined for the Lakers with 31 points and five three-pointers.

Fultz appeared to roll his ankle in the second half against Golden State and was helped to the locker room by two teammates. We don't know how well the plan is or isn't working in terms of dollars and cents, but LaVar has succeeded at making himself and his clothing brand household names in the sports world in the span of just a few short months. In college, the shot clock is 30 seconds giving players a longer time to develop plays and score the ball.

The hype surrounding Lonzo Ball has led to Las Vegas Summer League history, with the Lakers game against the Celtics on Saturday (July 8) selling out.

"We want to win championships here", Johnson said.

Kuzma's combine performance opened eyes around the league, and he built on it with strong individual workouts that pushed him into the first round.

The Chicago Bulls have high hopes for rookie Lauri Markkanen.

"'As far as training my boy, this is as far as I can take him, ' LaVar says he told Johnson". He ramped up his 3-point attempts to 84 as a senior but made them at just a 32.1 percent clip and topped out at three 3s in a single game.

The Grizzlies are going through a bit of a change in identity after Zach Randolph left in free agency for Sacramento. The Lakers are taking no risks when it comes to one of their future stars, and they'd rather wait for games that count in the standings.

LaMelo went 3 of 4 from 3-point range to beat Darrell in the contest.
