The latest Instagram 10.29 update is already rolling out to users and should be available to all in the next couple of days.

Instagram is rolling out the ability to send video and photo replies to Stories this week, making the experience of Stories a bit more than just a one way street. Check out the Instagram's new feature with your accounts and tell us what you think of it.

When Instagram added the story feature like its rival Snapchat, I was among those who thought that it would be a huge flop.

These photo and video responses go straight to the recipient's Direct inbox. "From selfies to Boomerangs, now you can be even more fun and playful when you respond to friends", Instagram shared on social media. It's a simple way to stay in touch, but with a bit more added flair than your average text message. To use it, users need only tap on the camera icon at the bottom of a story to take a photo or video. Tools in the camera such as face filters, stickers and Rewind can be used as well.

When Instagram users reply with a photo or a video to a Story, their friends will see the same in their inbox. Users will also see a sticker of the original story that is visible to them. As is the case with disappearing photos and videos in Direct, users' friends will know if they replayed a reply or screenshot it. Users can tap on the button to reply with a photo or a video.

To attain the newest version of Instagram on an iPhone, head to the iTunes App Store and check for an "Update" button.
