Chile scored twice in the final 10 minutes to beat Cameroon 2-0 in a Confederations Cup match with several VAR-related talking points.

Most of the pressure was still being applied by Chile and they eventually cracked the defence of their opponents with substitute Alexis Sanchez clipping in a delightful cross for Vidal to head home.

Chile enters the Confederations Cup among the favorites to win the tournament, and they will face Germany and Australia to round out Group B play after Sunday's clash with Cameroon.

"The result is not so important, the experience is more important for the team", Broos said at a post-match press conference.

It was Vidal who led the complaints after Vargas' first-time finish from the Bayern Munich midfielder's pass at the end of the first half was ruled out for offside after a referral.

Chileans from the first seconds pressed Cameroon to their goal - Vargas in the first minute shook the rod, and with a kick Fuensalida coped, Ondoa.

Cameroon's chances came thanks to occasional poor passing at the back from Chile, with Vincent Aboubakar forcing a save in the 11th from keeper Johnny Herrera, in for the injured Claudio Bravo.

With Cameroon's defense playing narrow and ceding the flanks to Chile, Ondoa was also called upon to block a shot from Edson Puch, while Vargas blazed the ball over the bar in the 40th minute.

Benjamin Moukandjo went close to breaking the deadlock for Cameroon in the 66th minute but his curling free-kick sailed inches wide of the upright.
