Tulsa- $2.12/g, down 0.7 cents per gallon from last week's $2.13/g.

Prices remained about 19 cents higher than a month ago.

This is all according to GasBuddy's daily survey of close to 1,000 gas stations in St. Louis.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices have risen 12% from $47.34 per barrel on March 21 to $53.14 per barrel in early trading this morning, fueling much of the rise in gasoline prices.

Gas prices averaged $2.27 a gallon in Houston Sunday, rising 5 cents a gallon and continuing the steady increases on recent weeks, GasBuddy said.

But during the past couple weeks, the global oil price benchmark staged a rally to about $56 a barrel. He added the increase is late for this time of year.

According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on April 17 in NY have ranged widely over the last five years: $2.25 per gallon in 2016, $2.59 per gallon in 2015, $3.79 per gallon in 2014, $3.78 per gallon in 2013 and $4.15 per gallon in 2012.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $2.18 per gallon and as high as $2.39. That's about 23 cents above the cost of motor fuel last at this time one year ago. The price in New Hampshire rose 2.7 cents per gallon, to $2.26.

In the Charleston area, prices on Monday ranged from $2.03 in West Ashley to $2.44 near Kiawah Island, according to GasBuddy.
