Jio replaces 'Summer Special' offer with unlimited data plan

Rejoice, Prime subscribers! Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has today taken the wraps off its new tariff plans under the Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator's advice and will be withdrawing the three months' complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days. After the first recharge expiry, users will get the same benefits at same prices, but it will be valid for just 28 days, as per the company's website. It looks like the 1GB plan will cost Rs. 309 for the prime members and Rs. 349 for non-prime members on the network.

"Dhan Dhana Dhan" reliance jio offer is not only valid for its jio prime customers, but it will also be valid for the new customers. The plan will offer 1 GB of data per day to the Jio users.

Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offers free unlimited data, voice calls and SMS, along with access to Jio's apps for a period of three months. On March 31, Reliance Jio announced that it now has over 72 Million "Prime" Subscribers, and the counting continues.

What about users who already opted for Summer Surprise pack?

Reliance Jio has updated its website and MyJio with the latest offer that will replace the now discontinued "Jio Summer Surprise Offer". After the first recharge is done, you need to recharge with normal plans. The new Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer is a classic example of that.

If you analyse it properly, this new offer shows how Reliance Industries learns from its mistake and that too how fast. If you want the new benefit for 84 days (1GB per day), then you should be recharging with Rs. 309 and you will need to have the Prime membership for the benefit. It offers unlimited SMS, calling and data (2GB a day at 4G speeds) for three months on the first recharge.

Mumbai: Bharti Airtel Ltd., India's biggest mobile-phone service provider, has asked the telecom regulator Trai to intervene after rival Reliance Jio started an offer to lure customers that was similar to a previous programmme stopped by authorities. After that you will get the recharge benefits in the order of recharges you have done. Reliance Jio continuing with this offer is held as not meeting the regulatory norms, in the garb of configuration changes.
