Virginia Tech finished the 2016 season - Fuente's first - with a 10-4 record, winning the ACC Coastal Division and capping the year with a Belk Bowl win over Arkansas.

The schedule change was announced Friday for a game that will be televised nationally by ABC.

"I wanted to take advantage of my a year ago and Virginia Tech was the best situation for me", Clark said. All fees are included in those prices. The game will mark the 52nd meeting between the two programs.

Not necessarily rivals, Virginia Tech and West Virginia will face off in a high-profile showcase game to open their respective 2017 seasons.

Tech will be seeking its first win at FedExField.

OSU junior wide receiver James Clark (82) lines up for a play during their game against Michigan State on November 19, 2016 at Spartan Stadium. He also participated on the OSU special teams, recording two total tackles this season. Tech and West Virginia also will play a two-game series starting in 2021, with the Hokies traveling to Morgantown for a September 18, 2021 game and the Mountaineers coming to Blacksburg for a September 24, 2022 contest. Upon the conclusion of his final season in Scarlet and Gray, he will head down to Blacksburg to join the Hokies for fall football camp.
