Klopp confident he is the right manager for Liverpool

He was substituted after an hour following an anonymous performance in last weekend's win over Burnley, but Klopp is prepared to be patient with his playmaker. That won't be the case this time because many of their players will remember the humiliation they suffered a year ago and, of course, Pep Guardiola is as familiar as anybody with Klopp's style of play due to their years competing with each other for titles in Germany.

We've seen the good, a bit of bad, some of the players might have to go. "That is probably the most important thing if you judge a manager". "But if you are actually playing in the Champions League as well it is a massive bonus". They were two wonderful games to watch and City could have won easily in the second half of the last game.

"How much [money] are they going to give him - are they going to give him more if he gets in the top four or if he doesn't?" Players often have "lucky" stadiums or opponents - places or teams that always seem to bring the best out of them - and for Coutinho that is definitely Manchester City.

"The influence of him on the game is really big".

City are now level with Tottenham and Liverpool are a point back in fourth having played a game more than both. "He knows his good ones now", he told talkSPORT.

The higher calibre the opposition, the better Liverpool have played this season, with notable victories over Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, a double over Arsenal and a narrow home win over City who will also be deflated by their Champions League loss to Monaco. Klopp's unbeaten record against the rest of the top six this season has to come to an end at some point and it might well be this Sunday, as City are well capable of beating anybody when they perform.

Liverpool are now fourth in the league, and a win over City will send them into third, as well as be a huge advantage in the race for a Champions League spot next season.
