"The Mukesh Ambani-run telecom provider, Jio advanced its zero-charge scheme initially under the 'Welcome Offer" on September 5.
Incumbent mobile carriers Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Idea Cellular Ltd. had challenged the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (TRAI's) decision to allow Reliance Jio to continue its Happy New Year offer beyond the stipulated 90 days.
Fulfilling the promise made by the company last week, Airtel has announced to give postpaid users 30GB free data as part of its Airtel Surprise offer. The telecom giant has introduced an exciting offer which has been matched by already established players in the game, and in this post, we will dissect all of them.
And nearly half that was spent by the market leader; Airtel spent Rs450-550 crore on advertising as against Rs250-350 crore in 2015, while Reliance Jio just spent Rs 100-150 crore, according to the Pitch Madison report. It also offers free local and STD voice calls.
Recently Bharti Airtel has launched the Airtel 4G services in Jammu & kashmir, and with this launch Airtel 4G services are now available in all 22 telecom circles of the country. Prime members will also have special data offers and higher data usage packs, apart from generic tariff plans starting at Rs 149 per month, which offers unlimited calls without any restrictions, bundled with 1GB of data (28 days validity). The night timing starts from 12 midnight to morning 6 O'clock. If you don't like the limitation, then you can recharge with Rs. 549 and avail the same pack without any restrictions.
In absence of any stay, the extended promotion offer will expire on March 31 without an adverse implication for customers. In this offer, Airtel is giving data for 3 months with a monthly cap of 10 GB. The data of 2GB per day is one of the best in the industry.
