Game of Thrones' Eighth Season Will Be Just Six Episodes Long
No specific plot details were revealed about the upcoming seventh season, but there was talk on the future of Thrones.
At the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Game Of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss took the stage for a panel moderated by the Sisters Stark, Sophie Turner, and Maisie Williams. Reportedly, they are going to start working on the season soon and will get together with writers - Dave Hill and Brian Cogman to work on the season. "I think its better for them to get new blood in with new visions".
Game of Thrones has a rich history of musical guest stars but usually those performers fly a little bit under the radar. It was not the original plan for the show to run for eight seasons in the first place; the original plan was only for seven.
Past seasons, indeed, have seen appearances from the likes of Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol, Will Champion from Coldplay, Sigur Rós, and Mastodon; it now looks as if Ed Sheeran has joined those ranks.
Since the second to last season will premiere in July, the big question of everyone's minds is will there be a spinoff - and if so, when? "We want to win", Vulture reported. In Emilia Clark, Kit Harrington and other cast's voice - the promo was quick recap of that happened in the previous seasons.
We're well and truly in the show's endgame now.
Games of Thrones is based on the - A song of fire and Ice, the title of the fantasy novel series written by George R R Martin.
