Ubisoft Announces Free Weekend Trial for Steep; 40% Sale Will Follow

Today, Ubisoft announced that the first free weekend for Steep™, victor of the 20 D.I.C.E. Awards Sports Game of the Year, will be available this weekend beginning March 10 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC. Let us know in the comments. The Steep free weekend starts on Friday 10th March and runs until 13th March on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with a 50% discount on the standard edition of the game or 40% off the Steep Gold Edition (with the Season Pass included) available until 21st March on the Xbox Game Store. Since you're getting access to the full game, as well as the post-launch updates, expect to find a big download. PS4 and PC owners will be kicked out at 6 p.m. that night.

Will you be heading to the slopes this weekend?

You'll be able to dive right in to Steep on PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PC via Uplay, from 10:00am PT March 10. In Steep's Alaska, players can conquer new terrain, including spinelines, extreme crests, massive glaciers, new urban features, and miles of untouched nature.

There is no shortage of great games coming out right now, but a free trial of "Steep" is hard to beat.

If you'd like a sneak peek of all the Steep content that will be available this weekend, take a minute to watch the trailer celebrating the weekend-long event. "And if you decide you want to keep playing after the trial period is over, you can transfer your progress to the full game", Ubisoft says.

Steep is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Beginning March 10, players will be able to enjoy three days skiing down the French Alps.
