"The adversity this club and this group of players have been through in the last month has been huge".

Leicester were awarded a penalty in the 47th minute and Algerian Riyad Mahrez fired it straight down the middle of the goal to equalise, reports Efe. Mahrez stepped up to take the penalty and scored.

"I thought the players had it in them to produce something but all credit to the football players because they showed a lot of the determination", the former Manchester United assistant said.

HULL, ENGLAND - AUGUST 13: Ahmed Musa of Leicester City takes the ball past Adama Diomande of Hull City during the Premier League match between Hull City and Leicester City at KCOM Stadium on August 13, 2016 in Hull, England. But Jamie Vardy, the man who scored for fun last term, missed an easy one from an Ahmed Musa assist in the 43rd minute. Vardy was so annoyed with himself after that second mistake that he appeared to slap himself in the face. "But of course, for the new people, new manager, new players, to start winning helps to believe in what we are doing". Sam Clucas and Huddlestone were strong in central midfield, while midfielder Jake Livermore performed admirably as an emergency centre-back.

The 28-year-old winger, who initially joined Hull on loan in the summer of 2012 before becoming a permanent member of the team a year later, has contributed to Hull's promotion to the top flight; the third in the last eight years. The suspension of Robert Huth for the match left a hole at the back as Wes Morgan and Hernandez are yet to form a true partnership.

Swansea eventually broke through the Burnley resistance to come away with a 1-0 win. The team that lost three games in all of last season has begun with a defeat; their first loss since February. Drinkwater and Mendy manned the Kante territory but it was not the central midfield but the defence that would worry Claudio Ranieri. Whether that was signal of his desire to stay on, in the light of transfer links with Chelsea and Arsenal, remains to be seen. Although it really should've been a free-kick, no Leicester fan was complaining over that questionable call from Mike Dean.

Had Hull given up before they have even started?

The worst thing about it is, Hull were deemed a definite relegation contender following a preseason of discontent that culminated in Steve Bruce leaving his post as manager of the side along with mixed messages regarding a potential takeover. There were also reports of graffiti on the stadium walls stating "Allam out". Maybe an injection of investment from new owners may make a difference.
