One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson cosied up to his girlfriend Danielle Campbell ahead of today's Soccer Aid match.

Louis, 24, will play for England and Irishman Niall will play for The Rest Of The World.

The Special One, who was unveiled as the new man in charge at Old Trafford last week, oversaw his first "home victory" in last night's charity game.

The celebrities lining up for Three Lions alongside Louis are: Olly Murs, Damian Lewis, Mark Wright, Marvin Humes, Paddy McGuinness, Ben Shephard, Jack Whitehall, John Bishop, Danny Jones and Jamie Theakston.

However he tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper that he plans to play for "15 or 20 minutes" against Louis and the England side.

He added about his soccer skills, "I have advertised myself as an unbelievable footballer in One Direction, there's not many great footballers in One Direction so that's why".

"I would be gutted and he wouldn't let me hear the end of it and for the next six months or twelve months it would be: "Remember when we won at that soccer aid".

Former England and Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman added: "That will be great, especially at Old Trafford".

Jose Mourinho managed the team alongside Sam Allardyce, assisted by Unicef UK Ambassador Robbie Williams.

As well as One Direction track History, Zayn Malik's debut solo single Pillowtalk also blared out...while Niall and Louis were on the pitch.

The match will kick-off of 8pm and it will shown live on ITV, with coverage including clips from the training sessions starting from 6pm.

Unicef UK Ambassador and actor Michael Sheen was team captain, backed up on the pitch by popstar and presenter Nicky Byrne, Kasabian guitarist Sergio Pizzorno, Glee actor Matthew Morrison, Game of Thrones' Iwan Rheon, Coronation Street's Shayne Ward and presenters Rickie Haywood-Williams and Sean Fletcher.
