Consequently, Xiaomi last week made its intentions clear by announcing its first-ever investment in an Indian company-it injected $25 million in popular media entertainment firm Hungama that is well known for its localized online gaming efforts.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 can be bought from Mi.com, Amazon India, Flipkart and Snapdeal. It will be available via open sale in India today.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will be available without registrations starting 10am IST on Wednesday - till stocks last.

Now it was a Good News to Xiaomi lovers who are waiting for the open sale. The dual-SIM smartphone features a 5.15-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) with curved 3D Ceramic glass, and a pixel density of 428ppi. It will also have a Snapdragon 435 chipset, with octa-core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz.

According to a recent report, Xiaomi has sold 6 lakh units of Redmi Note 3 within 60 days of sale in India, which is a record for the company. On the other hand, the Redmi 3 Pro came with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

Indians absolutely adore their phablets - oversize phones with screens larger than 5.5 inches. None of the previous devices, Redmi, Redmi 2 or 3, had fingerprint scanners on them. This is having 16MP rear camera and 4MP front camera.

When it comes to internal memory, the Redmi 3A will come equipped with 16GB of built-in storage space. The budget smartphone by the company starts at Rs 9,999. On the camera front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and two-tone flash. The smartphone is believed to pack a big 4,000 mAh battery and oddly, it may come running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop straight out of the box. The smart phone comes with a 4050mAh battery with fast charging support that can charge up to 50 percent in 1 hour.
