"Moto G4 Play with 5" Display & 8MP Camera Launched

In India, the handsets are available exclusively on Amazon with 16GB Moto G4 Plus at Rs 13,499 (approx $205). The company hasn't disclosed the pricing details of the G4 yet, which will be launched next month. There is however a third variant, a lesser mortal Moto G4 that looks like a valid replacement for the much-popular budget phone Moto E. Lenovo is calling it the Moto G4 Play.

The 2016 fourth-generation Moto G is slightly bigger and slightly more expensive than its predecessor. We'll be calling them the Moto G4 Play, Moto G4, and Moto G4 Plus, since that's easier - and since that's what you'll see in ads around your city when the time comes. However, based on the price of the current Moto G model in the market, the two upcoming smartphones will have a price tag somewhere around the $180 region. With TurboPower technology, the smartphones are able to provide up to 6 hours of use just after 15 minutes of charging.

The G4 Plus also boasts a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the G4 doesn't get any biometric smarts.

Like the G4, G4 Plus will come with an octa core Snapdragon 617 processor and an Adreno 405 GPU. The two come with a 1080p 5.5-inch display.

Other G Play features include 5-inch 720p display, LTE, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 16GB storage, 128GB memory-card slot, 8- and 5-megapixel cameras, 2800mAh battery, and 32GB memory-card slot.

This device also has a rear-facing 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0, while its front camera is 5MP strong with f/2.2 and wide-angle abilities.

The Moto G will hit United Kingdom shelves in early June, with Tesco Mobile, Argos and Amazon set to flog it for £169. On the other side, the Moto G4 Plus is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture lens on its rear panel. Well, the phones are going to be launched today, but just before that, several photos of the Moto G4 Plus and its retail box have leaked out, also revealing the major specs and features.
