'Dancing With the Stars' season 22 finale: Deaf model Nyle DiMarco wins

The deaf America's Next Top Model victor spent all season changing the dancing game and winning raves for his emotional performances.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba spoke to DiMarco in American Sign Language, stating to him, "Thank you for showing us your handsome heart when you dance".

The former champion of "America's Next Top Model" faced off against UFC fighter Paige Van Zant and "Good Morning America" meteorologist Ginger Zee. The duo earned a score of 27/30. "You get no sympathy votes from me".

Like Murgatroyd, DiMarco feels the same way calling it "bittersweet" since he had seen his partner everyday for three months and he feels different to not see her face anymore. However, the tears and the points (a flawless 30, of course) that the duo earned for their dance was just the start of their big night. As we watched their fantastic dances in both parts of the Dancing with the Stars finale episodes, the viewers of the shows as well as the couple's ardent fans made sure they voted for them. Goodman said if the completion were "judged exclusively on dance, you're the one to beat". VanZant said she would remember the experience forever.

In the last element of competition, the couples performed a new routine as part of a "24-Hour Fusion Challenge".

Ginger Zee has suffered a pelvic injury ahead of the "Dancing With The Stars" finale. "This whole thing has been so incredible, and [DiMarco] - I owe everything to him".

Paige VanZant & Mark Ballas did a Salsa for their redemption dance that earned scores of 10-9-10.

We saw a special performance from a couple of the female dance pros as they danced to Jennifer Lopez's "Ain't Your Mama".

DiMarco and Peta then danced their slinky cha cha for the second time. It was Peta's second win, her first since season 14.

Were Nyle and Peta the favorites from the get-go?
