No Nintendo Direct at E3 2016

Personally? I loved my Wii U more than the Wii, mostly because of how fantastic the GamePad feels. Unfortunately, it would appear that will not be the case. Nevertheless, if it really has replaced Nintendo's E3 show, this decision has become more baffling than ever. "Additional information about Nintendo's E3 plans will be announced in the future", reported by Nintendo Life. That's not the case any more, leaving Nintendo with an equally sparse year ahead.

The news saw one senior games retail exec tell MCV: "Nintendo just switched off Wii U's life support". However, those who do manage to get to E3 2016 will also be able to play "Legend of Zelda".

However, retailers and analysts have backed Nintendo's decision not to unveil NX at E3.

A few years ago, Nintendo released the Wii U console, a home dedicated console that featured the use of a tablet-like controller with a smaller display-much more like a handheld when looked at separately. Previously the company mentioned that they would not be showcasing any other games at this year's E3 and that they would not be officially unveiling the Nintendo NX. What about Paper Mario: Color Splash, or Kirby Planet Robobot?

Nintendo's odd tablet like console launched around the world in November 2012 but unfortunately failed to live up to the massive success of the Wii.

While the final gasps of breath for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS will probably be some fun, an E3 press conference they do not make. Instead of a naïve village elf, Link is an undercover cop punching his way through the underworld looking for crime boss Ganon and his connection with Zelda. Previous reports revealed that the new console was going to be released during the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event to be held this June. We've already seen their announcements, and Kirby's out in Japan.

Nintendo's next console, codenamed NX, will launch in March 2017 but will not be unveiled at next month's E3 trade show. They're very innovative in everything that they do.
