Sony X Xperia Performance price set at €699 ahead of July launch

The design seen here was designed by artist Chetan Bhardwaj who thinks that the Sony Xperia Z6 will come with a 5.2inch curved display. However, the pricing of the Xperia X Performance - the third phone Sony had unveiled at its MWC event and its flagship for 2016 - remained a mystery.

The Xperia XA is also up for pre-order in the United Kingdom with a more affordable price of £239.That's nearly half the price of the Xperia X and features a 5-inch 720p curved display, 13MP rear-facing camera and 8MP selfie shooter.

Sony Mobile has begun taking pre-orders for the entire Xperia X line of smartphones in Europe. One of them is the Sony Xperia X Performance, and as of today we know its price for Europe and when it will arrive.

One of the major benefits of buying a Sony branded smartphone is the long battery life when compared to other rival devices. The 23MP rear camera not only gives you clear shots, but also super-fast start-up going from standby to capture in less than 0.6 seconds.

Although it directly converts to $805, its United States pricing is most probably going to be about $699.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset, backed by 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, a 23MP camera and a 13MP selfie shooter, and 2,700mAh battery capacity.

Meanwhile, the Xperia XA, the lesser of the three devices and the most budget-friendly of the three, gets the same sort of treatment with some videos showcasing its design and such.

We've asked Sony for a reason why you won't be able to buy the Xperia X Performance in the United Kingdom and we'll let you know when we get an answer. It will cost €699 in France and Netherlands, and €729 in Italy and Spain.
