Frank Sinatra Jr dead

Frank Sinatra Senior died of a heart attack in 1998, aged 82.

Sinatra Jr. tied the knot with Cynthia McMurry in 1998, but the couple parted ways two years later. During the past 20 years, he has focused on "Sinatra Sings Sinatra" shows where he sings some classic hits from his father's songbook. 'For me, it's a big fat gift. Sinatra was taken by gunpoint from Harrah's Casino in Lake Tahoe, California on December 8,1963, and held for a few days until his father paid the $240,000 ransom.

"I manage to sneak in a few little things in of my own identity", said Sinatra Jr. of his concerts.

The younger Sinatra had two siblings -Nancy Sinatra, who also had a successful music career, and younger sister Tina Sinatra, an accomplished TV producer. Sinatra Jr. was kidnapped when he was a young man, according to The New York Times, and grew up as his father was just beginning to attain popularity.

Sinatra was on tour and had been in Daytona for several days rehearsing. He continued to perform in Las Vegas and had been on tour when he died.

In interviews, described seeing the likes of Dean Martin and Sammy Davies Jr perform from the wings of the stage.

"He was a good father as it was within his power", he said. We were all crying and singing'.

The only son of Frank Sinatra, he followed his father into a recording career at an early age and later worked with his as a musical director and conductor.

Sinatra suffered cardiac arrest while on tour in Daytona, Fla.

Keenan masterminded the kidnapping, prosecutors said. His kidnappers later received prison sentences.
