The upcoming paid DLC for Star Wars Battlefront, Outer Rim, has been detailed by the online retailer GameStop (who also has physical shops, but who leaves the house?). But for those who bought the game's $50 season pass, that price tag won't matter because the expansion is included in it.

GameStop lists an Outer Rim release date for April 5th but EA says that it cannot confirm this to be the exact Outer Rim release date at this time.

One new map will be added to Tattooine and Sullust, with one set in Jabba's palace and another in a smelting factory.

Along with all of that, the Outer Rim will introduce Nien Nunb and Greedo into the game.

The first paid DLC for this game is going to bring new weapons aside from Extraction, a variant of capture-the-flag in which Rebels have to bring back a payload to their transport while Imperials try to stop them in their tracks.

The Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol are the new weapons, and when it comes to Star Cards, the DLC is adding a Scatter Gun, a Dioxis Grenade, and an Adrenaline Stim.

The DLC will be bringing several new characters that players can choose from.

Last week, a new page for the Outer Rim went up on the Battlefront website, and it offered some basic details about the DLC.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" is available for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Originally Outer Rim was to be released in March 2016, but no precise date was given.

So far, the game has received several free updates and the developer continues to say that more free updates are coming.
