Infoworld reported that Microsoft has introduced Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection to enhance security for Windows 10, a new incentive to encourage firms to adopt the operating system.

Please take note - this new Slow and Preview Ring build are for CB testers only - if you are in the Fast Ring and not receiving development branch builds you can join one of these rings using the Windows Insider app and gain access to this build.

The latest build is number 10586.122 and will "address feedback [Microsoft] received on Windows 10 Mobile from devices such as the Lumia 950, 950 XL, 550 and 650 as well as the upgrade experience from Windows Phone 8.1", Microsoft's corporate vice president of the engineering systems team Gabe Aul said.

The ultimate goal here is to use Continuum as a way of bringing devices closer together, and this should happen with Redstone. Windows 10 will be due for a major feature update by this summer so it's quite likely that we might see the company announce such an update in the coming months.

The fixes in this update include improving the speed at which video thumbnails appear in portrait mode, improvements to alarm reliability, improved video recording audio, and improved overall OS reliability.

It is evident that Windows 10 topped Windows 8 (8.83 %) and XP (11.24%) in terms of desktop internet usage worldwide with 12.82% market share as of March 2016.

The quality of video records to SD memory cards has been improved.

Improved the email sync experiences when connecting to Wi-Fi networks with a captive portal.

Windows 10 will give users Windows Hello touch capability on both the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and the Surface Pro 4 upon connection.

Updated background processing of multiple changes to improve battery life of devices.

It is important to point out that the data released by Net Applications accounts for personal computers only - omitting other devices such as smartphones, tablets, and video game consoles.

With BUILD less than a month away, it shouldn't be too long before we know a lot more about this first wave of Redstone updates.
